Maybe it was because I was overcome by the huge turnaround in Quebec, or possibly because Gilles Duceppe was the apparent front runner in my riding, either way there was a humble aura that hung over his embattled state for change and hope.

He was on the verge of embarking on a greater road, unfortunately, as we all know that opportunity which has eluded him for many years was lost…
