I’ve followed Jack Layton since he first entered the federal scene, and this year he finally swayed me to vote for his party. Maybe it was because I was overcome by the huge turnaround in Quebec, or possibly because Gilles Duceppe was the apparent front runner in my riding, either way there was a humble aura that hung over his embattled state for change and hope.

He was on the verge of embarking on a greater road, unfortunately, as we all know that opportunity which has eluded him for many years was lost…

In-between shoots in Vallarta, I was able to meet, talk, and learn about some of the Mexican workers at the hotel. Most were willing and all were very polite about having their picture taken. They were great! Here are some samples from an upcoming series I’m putting together about tourism/hospitality workers at Dreams.

I’ve recommenced and re-visualized this project called Western Paranoia which I started awhile back. The project is based on exploring the social innuendos of Islam in Canada and how it influences the Muslims who live here. Expect new work for this project as I continue to meet people who want to share their experiences and stories.
